The Global Imams Council (GIC) commemorates the solemn anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan ibn Ali (a.s), the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon Him and His Family). This day reminds us of the enduring legacy of peace, patience, and sacrifice that Imam al-Hassan (a.s) embodied throughout his life.

Imam al-Hassan (a.s), born into the household of the Prophet, was a beacon of wisdom and piety. As the second Imam of the Ahlulbayt (a.s), his life was a testament to the values of justice, unity, and the relentless pursuit of truth, even in the face of immense adversity. Despite the challenges and betrayals he faced, Imam al-Hassan (a.s) remained steadfast in his commitment to maintaining the unity of the Muslim Ummah, opting for peace over conflict and placing the well-being of the community above all else.

The martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan (a.s) is a reminder of the immense sacrifices made by the family of the Prophet (saww) for the preservation of Islam. His life and martyrdom serve as a guiding light for Muslims around the world, teaching us the importance of patience, humility, and the pursuit of justice. 

On this day, the Global Imams Council calls upon all Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Imam al-Hassan (a.s) and to strive to embody his principles in their daily lives. We pray for unity among Muslims, for peace in the world, and for the continued guidance of the Almighty in all our endeavors.

May Allah (swt) grant us the strength to follow the righteous path and to uphold the values for which Imam al-Hassan (a.s) stood for.
