The Global Imams Council stands in support of GIC Vice President Imam Mohammad Tawhidi and rejects the accusations of apostasy levelled at him by the terrorist group, ISIS in Khorasan (ISIS-K). Our Council is in contact with the relevant authorities and security departments regarding the inclusion of Imam Mohammad Tawhidi on the ‘ISIS-K Hit-List’.
Imam Mohammad Tawhidi has been the Vice President of The Global Imams Council since January 2022, and continues to selflessly serve this Council and its communities.
Our Council, its Imams, and all affiliates stand in full support of Imam Tawhidi during this time, and categorically condemn ISIS and its terrorism that threatens humanity and our international security.
