The Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Global Ethics has chosen The Global Imams Council as a strategic partner in the development of a joint model curriculum on education for the culture of peace among the Abraham Accords nations, based on the resolutions of the United Nations on the “culture of peace” and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The GIC Governing Board attended the first Inter-Parliamentary roundtable session in Dubai, UAE, and achieved an agreed upon strategy for the development of a curriculum of peace.

The roundtable discussion focused on the partnership between all the member nations of the Abraham Accords to develop an agreement on the main principles and values to be included in the education curriculum for both early education and academic level education.

Among the participants were The fmr. President of Romania, H.E. Prof. Emil Constantinescu, founder of the Institute of the Levant, Prof. Alberto Zucconi, Chairman of the Board of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences and President of the World Universities Consortium, Rabbi Yitzhak Dayan, Chief Rabbi of Geneva and Council of European Rabbis representative to the United Nations, MP Nancy Khedouri, member of Bahrain’s Shura Council, and André Azoulay, advisor to the King of Morocco.
