The Global Imams Council (GIC) and TRENDS Research and Advisory have signed a significant cooperation agreement to advance areas of mutual interest. This agreement highlights TRENDS’ dedication to fostering collaboration among global organizations to promote tolerance, coexistence, and counter extremism and hate speech.

The signing ceremony took place at TRENDS’ headquarters in Abu Dhabi and was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS; Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, GIC Governing Member; and Sheikh Ali Al-Ka’bi, Director of GIC Middle East, along with several officials and researchers from both sides.

This agreement aims to conduct original, evidence-based research to benefit the community and support policymakers. It emphasizes the importance of strengthening relations, expanding their knowledge base, and leveraging their expertise in policy and research. Moreover, it establishes a formal and legal framework for communication, coordination, and cooperation, enabling both organizations to achieve their common research objectives.
